Zowie Bowie has fast become one of the most well-known acts in Las Vegas, bringing a unique blend of today’s hottest dance, hip-hop, Top 40 and classic Las Vegas music to audiences every week as headliners at Red Rock Resort & Casino. Zowie Bowie features the musical talent and unbridled energy of Chris Phillips, multiple guest female singers and a high voltage band that creates a sizzling and sexy sound that has become a Las Vegas mainstay.
The glamorous Vintage Vegas Show brings back the heyday of classic Las Vegas when the Rat Pack, Steve Lawrence & Eydie Gorme, Keely Smith & Louis Prima and Bobby Darin ruled the strip. Accompanied by a 18-piece orchestra, Zowie Bowie will give audiences a classic Las Vegas evening filled with all the music and mayhem that put Las Vegas on the map. As Phillips likes to say, “it’s all about cufflinks and cocktails.”
“I was born and raised in Tempe Ariz. Went to Corona Del Sol High School class of 84. My father was a Tempe City Councilman and Vice Mayor under Mark’s father Harry Mitchell.
As a kid a dreamt of being a Vegas entertainer after my parents took me there in the 70’s to see my idols Frank Sinatra, Tony Orlando, Don Rickles and others.
I started performing locally in the mid 80s around the valley and finally got my big break to open the Red Rock Resort in Las Vegas in 2006.
Since then we became the locals favorite show and have been voted “Best of Las Vegas” by The Las Vegas Review Journal 7 times including the last 3 years. Since being in Vegas we have performed non-stop in many of the major hotels up and down The Strip doing both our high-energy party band and our 15 peice Vintage Vegas Big Band Show.
We are thrilled to be bringing our Zowie Bowie party band back to where it all began when we perform for you all in April.”
